I've always had a good sense of who I was--and am. That may be a detriment in the overall social scheme of things. If we're not sure of who we are or who we think we should be it's easy to try on many different personae. We can wear our school or work or game face, then swap when we're home, out with friends, or somewhere else.

Is it better to be true to ourselves, even at the risk of being impolitic? to have realized who and what we are and act on that basis? It may depend upon what each of us wants.

By continuing to grow, prudentially, toward our own realities we approach true authenticity. We find ourselves; we realize who we truly are. On then, as I see it, are we able to start to live honestly. To live completely, fully, I think, means accepting the notion that the world is just as extension of us at our deepest level.

To Live Earnestly

Authenticity sings warm
songs of heart and soul--
in accord with our true nature.

The search for authenticity,
founded by explorations of our innermost Being,

leads to our beginning to live earnestly.
Living genuinely,   sincerely,
the world becomes but an extension of ourselves!
