Many of our more complex ponderings have no real answers--certainly not ones that are easily verifiable and universally satisfactory. We can, of course, make up answers out of thin air. And most of the time, people do plug the holes in the fabric of their personal quests this way-- it's the only way that works. For others, a wordless realization strikes home only after we've invested ourselves in the depths of meditation. A lifetime of experience--or lots of experiences crammed into just a few decades--only helps.

Realm of the Ineffible

The realm of the ineffable,
the flow and flux of the cosmos
has no voice
of its own and nothing to say.

After we've taken deep drafts
from the river of silence
we begin to understand
the embrace of the universe.
