The themes of mindfulness, inspiration, stability, and balance have been part of my jottings since I was around thirty. It's interesting how awareness widens into entirely different realms when mind and soul are balanced by the quiet of just-sitting. By sitting I mean Zen meditation, but it can easily be the moments spent at the water-cooler or the solitude of a long walk.

Creating and Dissolving

With serenity,
mindfulness merges with eternity.
Serenity dissolves obscurities
and restores the Light.

In the stillness of solitude
the will encourages balance.
Balance imparts stability whence springs
understanding, self-control, inspiration.
